Dusky Sunday / Groupe
Dusky Sunday is an indie-folk duo comprising of established musicians Fern Teather and Sam Thurlow. Drawing comparisons to Slow Club, Gabrielle Aplin, and Fleetwood Mac, we stand out from similar bands and artists with our unique combination of catchy, lyrical songs played on acoustic guitar and hand-percussion - topped with Fern’s smooth yet powerful voice, and tailed with Sam’s bassy backing vocals.
For larger audiences, we can switch to an electric set up, with electric guitar and drums. We can also expand to a 4 piece band with bass and keyboard if you want to up the volume!
In September 2018 Dusky Sunday released their debut single ‘Oceans’ which climbed to number 10 in the iTunes singer/songwriter charts, then in 2019 they released their debut album 'Gradients', earning them nominations for Best Album and Best New Artist at the NMG Awards, along with some great feedback:
