Raoul & the Wisemen / Groupe
Raoul & the Wisemen is a Dutch singer-songwriter with live band from the East of Amsterdam. Their sound is warm and clear, their songs melodical and romantic. Comparable to acts as Keane and HAEVN. Though they’re based in Amsterdam, they love traveling and meeting new people.
Their music tells stories about love, a changing world and your own actions, the clash between feelings and ratio, between heart and mind. A little melancholic, but always hopeful. Raoul & the Wisemen stand for an open mind, curiosity and not giving up.
The band’s first single ‘Conversation’ gained attention on national NPO Radio 5 show ‘Club de Max’ where Raoul & the Wisemen were invited as a guest. Airplay of their single followed both on Radio 5 and online. The following singles ‘Dream’ and ‘Time’ were released during the lockdowns and received attention in newspapers (NHD), online blogs (Shot of Culture, Cultuurblogger.nl, Songland) and (online) magazines (Winq). They played on festivals in both the Netherlands and Slovenia. Their latest singles Healing and Hurricane (2023) received attention from online and local radio. They played live at ex-TMF DJ Fabienne de Vries’ show ‘Toute Fabienne’ on GoodLife Radio and on Radio Aalsmeer. RTV Noord Holland payed attention to Healing by playing their video, Pinguin radio added their latest release to their Pop playlist.
This August, the band will play a Slovenian tour which will introduce ‘The Slavic Myth’s’, a new book by American best seller author Noah Charney and historian and Nobel prize nominee Svetlana Slapsak. Especially for this project, Raoul & the Wisemen wrote four new songs, captivating the story of ‘Povodni Mož’ (the Waterman) into music. ‘Landslide’ will be the first single, released just before the tour kicks off.

Zijn stem en enthousiasme maar ook het contact maken met de gasten maakt dat iedereen zat te genieten en dat is precies waar je het voor doet.
