The 23-year-old modern-folk singer-songwriter grew up in a musical home in the northern Netherlands, where her dad taught her to play the guitar. From there, her passion for music and song writing flourished. Inspired by artists such as Simon & Garfunkel, Clannad, Fink, and Fleetwood Mac, Renée has carved out a unique dreamy folk sound with touches of Celtic and world music. This sound sets the tone for her powerful yet ever-optimistic lyrics, which explore themes of social justice and humanitarianism. Currently, Renée draws inspiration from northern Australia, where she continues to explore new sounds and themes, including a new single set to be released in mid-October.
